Week 5: 19/02 - 25/02

Cafe time

Usually when we’re out for a walk, the little man is stuck in his pram. Even if we go in somewhere someone is stood outside with him. But this week he made it out of the pram and into the cafe. He even had a little boobycino.

Back to work

Back to work sucks. Sucks for both mum and dad. Mum now has a lot of boy responsibility for a large portion of the day. And dad is hidden away from the boy for a while. Let’s not dwell on the negatives too much though. Work from home makes it a million times easier.

Leaps

According to the book The Wonder Weeks, the boy is going through a development leap. Great news I hear you say, his brain is developing! Well yes, it’s fantastic but they also get fussy around these times. So we’re dealing with that at the moment. On the flip side, we were able to play a little “where’s daddy” game.

Happy Birthday Auntie Zee 🥳!

Auntie Zee had a small party out ours over the weekend. The boy spent most of the time asleep or commanding an adult to put him to sleep. But an adorable moment arose when he woke up and Sunny ran to comfort him in his crib with head strokes and shushes. After we changes his nappy, Sunny grabbed his book to read him as well. So cute.

Bye Bye Babi

Babi left after helping us out for a week. She got him hooked on the dummy and allowed us to sleep a lot more than usual. I think on Sunday we slept in until 11. Thank you so much! We also got a very cute double babi (or double nain (this boy has no grannies!)) moment when my mum came over as well.
