Week 35: 17/09 - 23/09
What's on the menu?
He's been lucky enough to try two great Czech dishes while he's here; Svíčková and Krupicová Kaše. He had the svíčková without the meat but with the dumplings. He was more of a fan of the dumplings than the sauce. And the krupicová without the cocoa powder. Arguably the best bit.
And then we were chilling outside one day and the boy was sat on the edge of the blanket pulling out grass. Not eating it, just pulling out. Tee, being a mother, said to me "Make sure he's not eating the grass". After a while I decide to sit down with him. He turns and looks at me, face covered in grass.
8 months
Monday was 8 months with this baby boy. People often talk about how time flies, and I'll be the first to tell you that those 8 months have flown by. But on the other hand, I struggle to remember a time without him. Like he's been here 8 years. If he leaves home when he's 18 (🤞) he's coming up to 4% completed on his time in our home. Woah, that's scarier than year progress twitter account.

Family meetings
This weekend was two days of family gatherings. Saturday was a pool party at Děda's house where he got to meet his Auntie Adelka. Děda has a pool, a baby pool and a hot tub. Roland deemed the pools to cold and resided in the hot tub for the afternoon.
Sunday was his first visit too "the big one". Auntie Alenka's house has 3 generations across 2 houses with a shared garden; totaling 10 people. Bro is just the most social baby. You can show up at someones house, and hand him over to someone he's never seen before, and he is smiling. Someone can pick him up and walk away from mum and dad, and he doesn't care. Stranger Danger will be a difficult lesson.

Kids songs
I'm not a fan of playing kids songs but I feel bad blasting The Chats at him when he's crying in the car. So we usually resort to The Happy Song and this ear worm...
