Family Visit

Roland had a tough day last Wednesday. He had another vaccine and this one was an injection. While he took the initial jab really well, his leg was very sore later in the afternoon. Lucky for him, his cousins, Auntie and Nain were there too look after him.. and us, as Roland was screaming! It was tough, never seen him like that before. But he made a full recovery.

Sensory room

At our local Sure Start center they have a sensory room full of.. sensory stuff? I'm not too sure to be honest because I've never been but Tee was there this week and took the opportunity to show Roland around. He loves looking at lights and stuff so I imagine he had a great time.

Development

Okay we are close to crawling. In the morning I noticed that he was trying to pick up his but with his legs and knees. And by the afternoon he was able to propel his body forward. Apparently parenting gets a lot hard when they can move themselves around. I'm excited for it.

Children's day

It was Children's Day on the Sunday and we thought we'd take a break from packing up the house to give Roland a nice day out. He hadn't been back to the pool since the first time but he's really grown to love his bath. This time at the pool, he wasn't so happy with what was happening. He let out a few cries when trying to get him to do things he clearly didn't want to do. But we ended up having fun, playing with balls, little splashes, and swimming about. The jury is still out on whether he likes the pool but he looks so cool in his little wetsuit.
